We specialise in offering long-term solutions to rat problems. Often we come across customers that have had to live with rats and the unpleasant smells of dead rats emanating from cavities and beneath floors. This is because they have been falsely advised by other pest controllers that you are never more than a few feet away from a rat, and its something that can not be helped so live with it.
This is not in fact the case, usually rat problems can be solved permanently. You just need to know where to look, how to look and be well experienced in looking. See the key word "look", in our experience this is something not a lot of pest controllers seem to be aware of, yes they say they are, but do they actually know how to do it? Of course you often need additional equipment to be able to do this successfully, fortunately we have access to this equipment. Unfortunately there is a cost to doing all the investigatory work, but usually its well worth it.

We do not as a general rule use insecticide to get rid of a honey bee colony. We have developed a few different strategies that enable us to remove a honey bee colony without killing it, leaving a nasty toxic mess of dead bees, larvae, unprocessed honey and of course nasty neurotoxin chemicals in the walls of your home or office. That over time will probably lead to a secondary infestation from flies, rodents, ants, clothes moth, carpet beetle or some other pest.

We are able to provide pheromone traps that enable the monitoring of not only the common clothes moth but also the case-bearing clothes moth post treatment, to ensure that the treatment has reached all the required areas and to give early warning of any new infestation. We are also able to offer a thermal treatment for the clothes in your wardrobes along with other personal items to help to eradicate the carpet beetle or clothes moth infestation.

In addition to carrying out a thorough application of insecticide in your property, we are also able to offer the application of a ULV treatment. We find this assists in pushing the fleas hiding in the crooks and crannies out into the open onto the insecticide. A ULV treatment is probably best described as being very similar to a fumigation. We use a short-term residual insecticide that is atomised using a venturi effect machine, creating droplets of around 15-microns in size. This is the optimum size for allowing the insecticide to be circulated around a room in the natural air currents, reaching all parts of the room, and for the droplet to remain airborne and be effective upon reaching the insect. If the droplet is too small it will likely be deflected, if too large it won't remain in the air. That is not to say that you won't still see the odd flea over the next few weeks, but they will be small young fleas that have just emerged from their pupa that even if they do bite once will not be able to breed.

We use as little insecticide in your property as is possible (as insecticides are after all a form of neurotoxin), preferring to locate the source of the bed bugs to enable an effective treatment. We tend to utilise a steam treatment machine that will kill both the bedbugs and the eggs. If its necessary, we will treat certain areas with either an insecticide or a diatomaceous earth but each bed bug infestation has its own unique treatment requirements. A lot of the time if the bed bug infestation is not large we will use the steam treatment as part of the investigation as this enables a faster inspection and treatment time. It should be pointed out that the steam treatment machine is not an ordinary steamer, it provides a 180° C overheated dry steam outflow and has been specifically designed for the eradication of bed bugs.
